Below you’ll find vocab to describe someone in French/ yourself. Today it’s physical appearance. I think I might do a whoooole run through from extremely beginner, to help anyone who wants to learn the language from scratch.
Let’s begin with eyes and hair.
Colours of eyes:
bruns: brown
Bleu : Blue
Verts : Green
Noisettes : hazel
Hair colour
Roux : red
Blonds : blonde
Bruns : brown
Noirs : black
Examples in a sentence
J’ai les cheveux brun foncé. – I have dark brown hair.
Je suis grand(e)/petit(e)/de taille moyenne. – I am tall/short/medium height.
Je porte des lunettes. – I wear glasses.
Je suis gros(se)/mince. – I am fat/slim.
For describing the depth of colour
clair = light
foncé. – dark
j’ai les yeux bleu clair
I have light blue eyes
