If you read this blog post you will make millions.

Are you a human? Do you like money?

One word MLMs.

It’s easy, all you need is a phone, a wifi connection and a talent in deceit.

Now you may think I’m exaggerating, far from it my dear readers. MLM (Multi-level marketing) are the pseudo pyramid schemes targeting social media users everywhere, students in particular. If you’ve not been approached by a kind stranger on social media asking whether you would be interested in pursuing a side hustle for money, don’t worry, they will find you.

But if you’re reading this, you have been saved. Thank you blog gods.

So what are these so called MLM’s and what do they want from us poor innocent students?

An MLM’s, Multi level marketing schemes (also referred to a pyramid schemes, network marketing and referral marketing) by definition are a form of marketing where the sale of products where the revenue is created by a non salarised workforce, selling products or services (or a dream) whilst the earnings of participants (people like you and I) are derived from pyramid- shaped or binary compensation commision system. Each company dictating its own specific compensation plan.

MLM salespeople are expected to sell products directly to consumers by links in social media platforms and through word of mouth marketing, the latter equating to a fraction of the income made by the workers. Thus, “Independent consultants” (as one company refers to them) are very much encouraged and incentivized to stick to plan A. Plan A being, Recruit, recruit, recruit. Recruit as many people as possible to join the company and become independent consults. Plan A  is a gold mine for the recruiters, the more recruits the bigger the bonuses.

Plan A effectively means, contact as many people as possible and sell them a dream that they can be financially independent by being a vender. A vender carries no inventory, but simply enlightens people on the revolutionary products of said MLM. Consequently, earning a portion of the sales. As soon as they are recruited they are taught the secrets of the trade and the cycle continues.

According to a report that studied business models of 350 MLM’s at least 99% of people who join MLM’s lose money. Yet, they continue to be wildly successful because they have been trained by the finest brainwashers out there. They ever so skillfully persuade captives (aka recruits) that despite the high sign up fee and package purchasing fee, you will make a tonne of easy money with minimal losses (despite just paying 230 pounds). Making your time “work for you”, through a simple copy and paste, of the same bait capturing message. Independent consultants trained to target those likely to be in need of something like this.

I have read and been in correspondence with one too many people who have stated, they were in a difficult or vulnerable position when they were messaged by an Independent consultant. One gentleman’s wife had been diagnosed with cancer in the US, and the growing medical bills made him a key target for an Independent consultant. A UK student, was having family issues and wanted to achieve financial  independence so she no longer would need to rely on her family and could severe ties with them.  I don’t know about you, but a company with an MO like that, is not one I would ever like to associate with.

To conclude, “Hey there my name is @Bloodsuckingleach and I’m looking for some highly motivated individuals who want to go far in life to join me in an amazing venture. All you need is wifi and the drive to succeed. You interested?” 😉

Well, thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you again soon!
