“You can’t drink seven glasses of water…” and have a six pack for life is what I would have added to it.
In the same way to stay fit and healthy after embarking on a health journey you have to stay at it. Keep eating right and keep exercising, you also have to do this with undoing systematic racism and other issues we need to focus on and not just have a woke minute and move on. Environmental issues are not just “relevant” when there’s bush fires. Refugees are not just relevant when horrific images of young children’s corpses are captured, RIP. We need to keep exercising those muscles, keep speaking up when we see bullying or racism, teach our kids, force our workspaces and social circles to adapt, to include and welcome people of other races and make them feel welcome and EQUAL. All they want and need is equality, not special treatment, not to be feared or for people to change the way they speak out of fear of being cancelled, NO you should just feel that way because they are a human just like you, with families and hopes and dreams not too dissimilar to yours. No-one is perfect, we all have stuff to work on and will for the rest of our lives, but don’t make racism one of them. Don’t make being humane be one of them.
Change now.
Love now.
Be kind now.
It’s not that hard and truly, you know, deep down it’s the only right way to live.
Hope you all have a fantastic day.
